Making a Difference


WNED | WBFO Buffalo-Toronto is launching a new multimedia initiative that recognizes area citizens who are
contributing to the betterment of Western New York.

"Making a Difference" will spotlight individuals who are going above and beyond to make Western New York a better place to live and encouraging others to follow their lead.

Do you know of someone who is making a difference? Now is your chance to have them recognized. Nominations are open through Friday, Feb. 28 at 11:59 p.m.

“Making a Difference” will highlight seven individuals in a half-hour television documentary to air on WNED-TV and with radio reports on WBFO. Information about those being recognized will also be featured on wned.org, wbfo.org and station social media sites in fall 2014.

People of all ages and employment can be nominated. Nominees must reside in the eight counties of Western New York (Erie, Niagara, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Wyoming, Allegany, Genesee and Orleans).

Final selections will be made in March 2014 for the radio reports and television documentary. There are no limits on how many nominations you can submit so consider nominating someone now by clicking here.
