It’s never too early to start taking care of yourself and your health. While I try to eat small portions, lots of fruits and veggies and drink water constantly, I know that, like many, there are parts of a healthy lifestyle that I neglect. Luckily, WNED AM 970 and BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York are making that a little bit easier to do by partnering up to present Good For You, a live radio series and health expo dedicated to healthy living.
The first program, entitled A Primer on Your Health Care Team, will air on Thursday, Sept. 15 at 1 p.m. on WNED AM 970 as part of a special addition of Forum. The event will begin with a health expo and buffet lunch at 11:30 a.m., followed by the live broadcast from our studios. The event is free but seating is limited so be sure to register online to reserve your seat.
The hour-long program will be led by our own Jim Ranney and will include three well-respected primary care physicians from the area; they include: Dr. Thomas Rosenthal, Dr. Tom Dilamater and Dr. Dawn Gais.
Audience members will be able to ask questions and those listening at home or at work will be able to submit questions via email.
If you cannot make it to the kick-off of the series, fret not! A second program, focusing on senior health, is scheduled for November 3.
What questions do you have for the doctors? Will you be in attendance or will you be tuning in to the live broadcast? Feel free to comment below.
